Aerial Videos on MLS

I’ve previously discussed using multi-copters for aerial PHOTOS of our listings, now we’re able to post aerial video tours to MLS in addition to our photo slideshows!

The buzz caught the attention of the Star Tribune, in April I was on the front page of Sunday paper I was also informed today (6/23/2014) that I’m a finalist for Inman’s 2014 innovator awards “Most Innovative Realtor”

Here are some examples of non-branded videos I’ve recently produced;

24036 167th St Big Lake MN from AerialTours on Vimeo.

7629 Mariner Point Aerial Video from AerialTours on Vimeo.

24800 100th St NW Livonia Twp from AerialTours on Vimeo.

Since adopting aerial technology for real estate photography in November of 2012, I’ve had four different multi-copters and am looking into purchasing a larger unit which will provide more stable footage. The great thing about these non-branded videos which are hosted on a 3rd party website, is that we’re able to post them on the MLS. This means that they’re distributed just like the photo slideshows. I noticed in the past that when I’d make a video for a listing and host it on YouTube, it would only get 10-20 views, now with syndication thousands more potential buyers are watching.

I’ve also been using doing aerial videos of local neighborhoods and new construction developments. My goal is to capture aerial shots of local neighborhoods to go with the blog posts I’ve been writing so that buyers will be able to get a feel for each neighborhood.
