Rush Creek Elementary – Maple Grove, MN

Rush Creek Elementary School is a K-5 school located in western Maple Grove. With over 1000 students, it is the second largest Elementary School in the city of Maple Grove. The U. S. Department of Education has recognized Rush Lake Elementary as a National Blue Ribbon School.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. The National Blue Ribbon School flag gracing an entry or flying overhead is a widely recognized symbol of exemplary teaching and learning.


Rush Creek Elementary Math Teams Win Multiple Math Awards

Rush Creek students celebrate their achievement in mathematics perennially.  Due to their commitment to Gifted Education Classes. Rush Creek students at several grade levels often participate and compete in the Continental Math League, Fermi and Math Masters. The school’s teams regularly place at the State and National level for these Math Competitions. Rush Creek Elementary is firmly committed to provide an educational environment that challenges students and cultivates a love of math.

Rush Creek 6th Grader Sara Nadian is among the winners of the 2015 Letters About Literature Essay Contest.

Rush Creek students excel at Writing and Literature. Sixth grader Sara Nadian is among the winners of the 2015 Letters About Literature Essay Contest, co-sponsored by the Minnesota Council of Teachers of English and Common Good Books. Her work will move on to be judged nationally. A panel of national judges for the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.
