I am proud to say I am a finalist for Inman’s 2014 innovator award for “Most Innovative Real Estate Agent”

The winner will be announced at the Real Estate Connect event in San Francisco July 16th-18th along with other categories which include Most Innovative Brokerage or Franchise, Most Innovative MLS or Real Estate Trade Association, Most Innovative Real Estate App, Tool or Vendor, and Most Innovative Use of a New Technology

Though I have to admit that I’m not the only realtor to use this technology, most others have hired it out through 3rd party vendors such as EyeAerial or SpaceCrafting. I started using a multi-copter for aerial photography in November of 2012, since then I’ve had four different multi-copters and am looking into purchasing a larger unit which will provide more stable video footage. At first the multi-copter was primarily used for our lots & land listings here in MN. Since then I’ve been able to use it for single family homes, lakeshore, and homes with acreage. Early this year I wrote an article for Realtor Magazine, and this April I made the front page of Star Tribune Sunday paper.

I’ve also been using doing aerial videos of local neighborhoods and new construction developments. My goal is to capture aerial shots of local neighborhoods to go with the blog posts I’ve been writing so that buyers will be able to get a feel for each neighborhood.
